Yahaya Bello Gives EFCC 48 Hours Ultimatum To Apologize And Retract The ‘N20 Billion Fund’ Statement

The executive Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has given the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a 48 hours ultimatum to apologize to the state and withdraw the 20 billion Naira fund statement the commission had earlier released.

Recall, the EFCC had earlier claimed that it had returned 19.3 billion Naira bail out funds allegedly hidden by the state government to the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The statement had raised much dusts as people began questioning why a state government would want to embezzle public funds.

Reacting to the claim, Yahaya Bello made this statement through his Commissioner of Information, Kingsley Fanwo.

He claimed that the EFCC are biased and wanted to destroy the image of the governor as regards to 2023.

He further went ahead to give the commission a 48 hours ultimatum to apologize to the state.

In addition, to withdraw the statement or be prepared to face legal actions.
