The City of Syracuse will hold a job fair next week to help fill 43 openings in city government.
The job fair will run 3-6 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, at the Cecile Community Center.
The city’s online list of job openings lists 43 positions. There will be more positions to fill. Salaries for the positions depend on the job and the listed opportunities range from paying $76,000 annually to just over $13 per hour.
In a news release, Mayor Ben Walsh noted that the pandemic has created a tight job market, making it difficult for employers across the country to fill positions.
“Not just in government but across sectors, the pandemic continues to impact recruiting and hiring. City government offers great career opportunities with excellent benefits and the ability to make a difference in the community,” Walsh said. “I am excited that we are able to again host an in-person job fair and connect with residents interested in joining our team.”
The city is encouraging those attending the job fair to be prepared for immediate interviews and to bring copies of their resumes. Questions about the job fair can be directed to [email protected] or (315) 448-8780.
