The days of “train and pray” and “post and pray,” are over, Michigan business and workforce development leaders say.
These expressions refer to practices that used to be somewhat commonplace: Education providers would train students, and hope they would get a job at the end of the program. Companies, meanwhile, might post a job opening online and keep their fingers crossed that they’d get quality applicants.
