Former Nigeria presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba has called out, Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey for deleting President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet on his social app, and urged that Twitter be banned from Nigerian internet space.
It could be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari took to his twitter handle to tweet about the insecurity in the country and also threatened a ‘section’ and made a reference to the 1966 Civil war.
The tweet went viral as many Nigerians viewed it as a threat to the citizens of Nigeria and it was reported severally forcing twitter to do the needful by taking down the tweet.
Reacting to the removal of the tweet, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed had condemned the removal of the statement, blaming twitter of being a threat to Nigeria.
However, Adamu also took to the micro-blogging platform to speak about Twitter’s decision to delete the president’s speech, stating that the social media giant should be banned from Nigeria’s internet space because it’s becoming a threat to the Nigerian government.
