Opeyemi Tosin, a 26-year-old Nigerian serial burglar has been arrested by the police for reportedly stealing 26 generators in Ondo State capital, Akure.
Also arrested were ThankGod James, 22 and Sodiq Segun, 23 who were his partners-in-crime as they were alleged to be the ones assisting him to sell the stolen generators.
The suspect, Tosin, who’s a drycleaner confessed he’s a burglar at the state police headquarters and also disclosed that he got into the criminal act just 5 months ago.
Explaining how he does the criminal act, he said he first go on a survey around the area to see the loopholes before he strategies on how to carry out the crime and also revealed that the two men arrested with him, were generator repairers, whose job is to look for buyers for the stolen generators.
Bolaji Salami, the Commissioner of Police in the state, while speaking on the arrest of the suspect, described Tosin as a serial burglar and also disclosed that a total of 26 generators were recovered from those who had already bought the stolen generators from the suspect.
