A 22-year-old 300L Mass Communication student of the Cross River University of Technology, Priscilla Ojong, has been declared missing.

According to a report by a Nigerian journalist, Iwara U. Iwara, Priscilla had supposedly travelled from Calabar to Lagos for about three weeks on invitation by a male friend.

Ever since she left Calabar, no one has heard from her and all means to reach her through her phone proved abortive.

Two of her friends who spoke to calitown confirmed that Priscilla indeed travelled to Lagos on the invitation of an unknown male friend, who reportedly credited her bank account with the transport money.

One of the friends also confirmed that she received a call from Priscilla informing her that she arrived Lagos safely and will be staying over there for the weekend.

According to her, when she waited for her and she didn’t return, she became worried and repeatedly called her phone number, but it was not reachable.

After several days of no able to reach her through phone calls or text messages, the friends called her parents in Akamkpa LGA of Cross River State and informed them of the situation.

The parents’ attempt to reach their daughter equally proved abortive so they decided to inform the police in Calabar.

“We were at the (police) station today. My friend and Priscillia’s dad will be heading to the bank to get her statement of account because the day she traveled the guy in question sent her transport fare”, one of the two friends told Calitown.

The visit to the bank suggested by her parents was to obtain Priscilla’s bank statement in order to find out the identity of the person who invited her to Lagos.

Meanwhile, police sources confirmed that investigation into the ugly incident has commenced.
