“Robbers Attempted To Burgle Ibrahim Gambari’s House” — Presidency Reacts To Reports Of Robbery Attack In Aso Rock

According to reports trending online, claiming there was a robbery attack in Aso Rock, Ibrahim Gambari’s residence to be precise.

The incident happened on Monday, May 10. It was learnt that the robbers went in Aso Rock and attempted to burgle the office of Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

As many Nigerians expressed shock over the news and were uncertain as to the authenticity of the report, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, had released a statement few minutes after the report, stating that “there was a foolish attempt” to burgle the office of Ibrahim Gambari but the attempt was however unsuccessful, said Garba Shehu.

”The Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari taken to his Twitter handle to confirm that there was “a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00am, early Monday morning but it wasn’t successful.

He has also assured that there is nothing to fear from what happened.

His statement via twitter reads;
