Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye better known as Mr P, of the defunct popular singing duo, PSquare, has revealed that he presently makes more money as a solo artist than when he was in the group.
Peter, who disclosed this during a recent interview he had with HipTV, said he enjoys his freedom and doesn’t have no longer has to split his earnings three ways.
“Hundred percent, I am. I don’t have to share three ways. Call it greed or selfishness. It’s your own cup of tea. I share with nobody. Yes, my management and my team. Fine. But I’m doing my own thing. I’m freer.
I’m making more money. Freedom is key. I can get a call that there’s a show next week and it’s my daughter’s birthday. I can say, ‘cancel it’. As a group, I couldn’t do that. Moneywise, if I used to share three ways, I share alone.
He also disclosed that since he is free now, his music is motivated by how he feel;
What am I doing music for? It’s about doing it how I feel it. It’s not even about the money. But when it comes to that, I make more than I was while in the group”he continued.

Social media users have failed to forgive and forget Desmond over his statement during the period of ENDSARS protest, where he addressed Nigerians on social media as children.
Desmond, in a video that emerged online, was been taught how to dance the ‘palliative’ dance by an instructor and he was happily dancing it and seemed not to be bothered by the constant trolling.
