Former presidential aide to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omokri has sparked reactions after he insisted that the tradition of church wedding does not match with the belief of Christianity.
In a recent tweet shared by the popular author, he noted that the idea of church wedding is based on requesting for the pastor’s blessing.
Reno further added that it is a mark of disrespect for the parents of the couple seeking for pastor’s blessing as he disagrees with those people who justify the church wedding.
“Church wedding is not Christian wedding. Some people say it is necessary because pastors are God’s representatives on Earth. My question is this: What are your parents? Devil’s representative? No blessing on Earth is greater than parental blessings,” he wrote.

“Go Ahead And Report Me To The Pope Or Vatican” — Rev. Fr. Mbaka Dares APC
The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), Reverend Father Ekije Camillus Anthony, Ebenezer Mbaka has stepped out to challenge the All Progressive Congress (APC), to report him to the Pope.
This is coming following a statement published online by Fr. Mbaka, where he asked the House of Representatives to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari if he refuses to resign as the country’s insecurity challenges increases daily.
In response to his statement, APC warned him not to take his luck too far because there is a lot to tell the pope about him. They further described his statement as ungodly.
Reacting to APC’s threats, Reverend Mbaka on Sunday, May 2, while delivering homily in his Ministry at Emene Enugu, challenged The All Progressive Congress to report him to the pope as he said that Pope Francis will be happy and will give him accolades if he hears that he is criticising a bad government in his country.
In his words;
“The pope will clap for me if he hears that I am challenging a bad government in Nigeria. So, the APC can go ahead and report me to him.
“The Pope may even give me a position I may not want to handle,” Rev. Mbaka said.
