‘Even If My Son Is Kidnapped, I’ll Rather Pray For Him To Make Heaven Instead, Because I Won’t Pay Any Ransom’— Governor El-Rufai Says

The executive governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has declared that even if peradventure suspected bandits kidnapped one of his son, he will not pay a dime as ransome for his release.

El-Rufai who has been one of the front voice speaking against against negotiations with armed bandits terrorizing the nation, made this declaration this during a radio interview on Friday April 9, 2021.

When he was inquiried if his administration is contemplating the option of paying ransom to secure the release of the students kidnapped by armed bandits from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Kaduna last month, the governor responded;

“I mean it and I will say it again here. Even if my son is kidnapped, I will rather pray for him to make heaven instead because I won’t pay any ransom” he said

According to him, he insisted that his government is “absolutely not paying ransom” but are presently considering other viable options to make sure that the abducted students are returned home safely.
