NIN Registration Is Mandatory And Failure To Register Attracts 14 Years Imprisonment – Isa Pantami



The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy ‘Dr. Isa Pantami’ has updated Nigerians on the current ongoing NIN Registration which he made it clear that the current registration is now mandatory.

The Minister who said that more than 51 million Nigerians have been enrolled for the National Identity Number (NIN). He made this known during the Ministerial briefing organized at Abuja.

The Minister further went ahead to state that Nigerians now risk a 14 years jail term for failure to register or enroll for the NIN which has the Nigerian constitutional backup.
