Tanzanian new president, Samia Suluhu Hassan has revealed that she’ll remain submissive to her beloved husband, Hafidh Ameir, despite her accomplishment as the president of the nation.

In a trending video online, the president stated kneeling before her husband to show honour and submission would not make her inferior to him but was instead a sign of love and affection.

According to reports, this statement of Suluhu was when she was still the country’s Vice President to the now late John Pombe Magufuli, she reiterated though she occupies a very powerful position, her husband, Hafidh Ameir remains the head of the family.

“Some of you will say we are equal in all aspects of society, No! That’s not the right position. Even as vice president, I will kneel before my husband. I don’t kneel because I am inferior, it’s because of love and affection.

Don’t leave this tradition so we can strengthen the bond of our families and bring up our children through good manners,” she said.
