You Have A “Big Problem” If You Always Call Your Mother Anytime You Have Marital Crisis — Marriage Counselor

A Ghanaian marriage counselor, Charlotte Oduro, has opined that any woman who always run to her mother to lay complain any time she is having marital affairs has a serious problem.

In a recent statement made by the controversial counselor, she noted that not all marital issue needs external opinion from a mother.

She added that some family problems require a woman to sit down and solve them amicably with her husband without letting outsiders hear about it, instead of getting their mother involved in a little issue they can handle very well.

Her statement reads below:

“Some of us young women, we allow our mothers to intrude in our marriage by complaining my husband has done this or that without thinking with your husband. Everything you go and tell your mother, everything you call your mother…please grow up. If you are a married woman and still call your mother at the least issue, there is a problem you need to solve”,

Mrs Oduro further revealed that marriage is sweet but not always how people anticipate, it is bitter sometimes. And if this particular moment shows up, there’s a need to endure and find a solution to the problem instead of whining about it.

“Marriage is not what some of you think about. There are so many things in marriage…sometimes it becomes boring, sometimes you are happy, sometimes things don’t work, sometimes you sit to make it work and it is work that needs to be done every day. We need to work towards it because you don’t expect your marriage to be beautiful every day. The fight will come, troubles will come but don’t ever use this word I want to divorce because is not the answer to anything”, she advised.
