Ex-presidential media aide, Reno Omokri has criticized the popular saying ‘Money Can’t Buy Happiness’, saying it was strategically formulated against poor people.
Reno, in one of his posts on RenosNuggets series, disclosed that the phrase is deceptive and was invented by happy rich people with the sole aim of preventing poor people from aspiring to be wealthy, thereby making them feel it’s very okay to be poor.
He added that money can make one happy and makes a reference to the excitement one gets by receiving a bank alert.
Posting via twitter, Reno wrote;
‘The phrase ‘money cant buy happiness’ was invented by happy rich people to prevent the poor from threatening their wealth! Money is very, very, very, conducive to happiness! Are you not happy when you get bank alerts? Was it poverty that caused it?’
