Jamaican Reggae Legend, Bunny Wailer, Who Rose To Fame With Bob Marley Is Dead

Jamaican Reggae legend and three-time Grammy winner, Bunny Wailer, has reportedly passed away at the age of 73.

 

The singer, who was among the founding members of The Wailers, alongside Reggae greats, Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, was pronounced dead on Tuesday, March 2, at the Andrews Memorial Hospital in the Jamaican parish of St. Andrew, Maxine Stowe, his manager told The Associated Press.

 

Although his cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet. But Jamaican daily newspapers had reported that the singer suffered a stroke in July 2020, his second one and had frequently visited the hospital since.

The Wailers were founded by Marley, Wailer, and Peter Tosh founded in 1963. Until his demise, Bunny Wailer was the last surviving founding member after Bob Marley and Peter Tosh died in 1981 and 1987, respectively.

 

In 2016, while in an interview with NPR, Wailer disclosed why he chose to keep his last name long even after leaving the band in 1974.

“Because I didn’t leave the Wailers, I’m still here, representing the Wailers”, he said.

 

Bunny Wailer during his time won three Grammys for his work on “Hall Of Fame – A Tribute To Bob Marley’s 50th Anniversary,” “Time Will Tell – A Tribute To Bob Marley” and “Liberation (Album).”

Brown calls himself the ‘princess of Africa’ has dragged Bobrisky after Bobrisky claimed he’s the Queen mother; a mother to all Crossdressers.

James Brown, in a recent interview with Adesola Momoh, a Tv Host, sent a warning to Bobrisky to desist from tempting him as he only recognises Denrele Edun, and accords him the maximum respect in this cross-dressing business.

He disclosed that Bobrisky is not their queen mother but a queen mother of cockroaches.
