A Nigerian man of Urhobo extract named Friday, has mysterious died after his wife committed a taboo by allegedly sleeping with another man and she refused to confess in order for the gods to be appeased.

According to the tradition of the Urhobos, a major ethnic group in Delta state, it is a taboo for a woman to sleep with another man, once she gets married.

The taboo comes with a penalty, which could result to sickness and death of her husband and children, if the woman refused to confess early enough, so that the necessary sacrifices can be performed to appease the ancestors.

According to the source, the deceased fell sick after his wife secretly slept with another man, but kept it to herself despite the fact that she’s aware of the cultural implications of her deed that had caused her husband’s mysterious sickness.

Unfortunately, Friday passed away after she refused to confess her atrocity. It was when the illness started affecting her children that she secretly confessed to her close friend.

It was the phone chats, she had with her close friend, that eventually exposed her and confirmed that she actually slept with another man, that led to the mysterious demise of her husband and the illness that came upon her children.
