An Imo State caretaker who is yet to be identified have taken to his heels after stabbing a Nekede Polytechnic student on Tuesday which led to the student’s death.
The student identified as Anthony was said to be a resident of “Ezinwanne Hostel” and a Year 1 student of the Department of Building Technology.
According to reports, Anthony had gotten into some serious arguments with the yet to be identified caretaker about his house rent of the month of March 2020 and January, 2021 following the Covid-19 lockdown.
Most inmates of the lodge had refused to pay, claiming they did not live in the house during those periods, this had made the caretaker lock up the water supply to the house.
The angry students began exchanging words with the caretaker and Anthony was allegedly stabbed by the caretaker, who was said to have also gone ahead to hit the student with a plank. The caretaker was said to have run away immediately, leaving the student in the pool of his blood.

The Nigerian Police Force, Anambra State Command has announced the arrest of a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death.
According to the Police Spokesman, Mr. Haruna Mohammed, who made this known to the public stated that the man identified as Kingsley Igwe and only 35 years old had ran amok for some complicated reasons and brutally stabbed his wife.
The neighbors had rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she was confirmed ‘Brought in Dead’ by the Doctor on duty. Kingsley’s wife died at the age of 31. The Police also informed the general public that investigations into the case was still ongoing.
