The Federal Government of Nigeria is seriously considering another lockdown across the country if her citizens fail to adhere strictly to the Covid-19 protocols.
This was made known to the public by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 by its National Incident Manager, Dr M. Muhammad, who gave the warning via an interview he granted to The Nation in the nations capital Abuja on Wednesday.
He stated that Lockdown is not out of the list of options they have in ways of curbing the deadly disease as the PTF is currently monitoring the statistics in the country and might resolve to lockdown in due time.
In his words, he said “Lockdowns help to minimize people’s movements and it’s very effective because if you don’t go out or if you reduce the degree of your movement, you’ll also reduce the risk of getting infected…”
