A Nigerian Catholic Bishop who is currently the Head of Sokoto Diocese, Rev. Fr. Matthew Kukah, has gotten a new appointment from the Head of Vatican City, Pope Francis.
Bishop Kukah was appointed into the Pontifical Council for human rights, justice and development which is also referred to as the Dicastery for the Promotion of Human Integral Development. This was confirmed in a letter dated 11th December, 2020, and signed by His Eminence, Peter Cardinal Turkson, the Prefect of the Dicastery.
Bishop Kukah’s appointment was made known to the public by the Sokoto Diocesan Director of Social Communications, Fr. Chris Omotosho in a statement which was dated 19th of January 2021.
In his words, he wrote, “By this appointment, Bishop Kukah will join other members of the Dicastery (Council) drawn from different regions of the world to advise and promote the holy Father’s concerns on issues of justice and peace, human rights, torture, human trafficking, care of creation and other issues related to the promotion of human dignity and development,” the statement read in part.

Women Spread Their Wrappers On The Floor For Prophet Odumeje To Walk On (Watch Video)
A video currently trending online has shown the moment some ladies believed to be members of Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry decided to give their founder and pastor, Prophet Odumeje, a royal welcome to the church premises.
The founder of the church, Prophet Odumeje could be seen walking majestically amidst praises from the women, as they spread their wrappers on the floor for him to walk on.
In appreciation, the Prophet occasionally threw monies on the floor for the ladies.
