An unnamed Egyptian fisherman almost died last month, October 2020 after a fish got stuck in his throat.
The strange incident made the fisherman had difficulties in speaking and shortness of breath as he was duly admitted in the emergency room of a hospital in Beni Suef, Egypt.
Upon doctors’ examination, it was revealed that a fish was stuck at the beginning of the trachea(windpipe), which made it very difficult for the man to breathe, but prevented him from suffocating before reaching to the hospital.
The man underwent an endoscopic surgery and doctors managed to get out the live fish, according to El-Ain.
The 40-year-old fisherman from the village of Snur, explaining how the fish got there, told doctors that he caught a small fish, and noticed that the line of another fishing rod was having another fish.
In a process, not to let his second catch escape, he quickly put the small fish in his mouth, so he could use his hand to pull the other catch.
The live fish which was very slippery, managed to find its way out of the grip of the man’s bite and got stuck in his windpipe area of his throat.

According to BBC News Igbo, they reported that the fire outbreak was said to have started early today morning around 1:50am Nigerian time and it is believed that properties worth millions of Naira was also destroyed.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and the State Police Command has informed the general public that investigations into the matter is currently ongoing.
