The president of Peru, Manuel Merino, on Sunday, November 15, resigned following the death of two peaceful protesters in Peru.
It was gathered that, the death of two protesters happened when they were protesting the sudden impeachment of his predecessor, Marrin Vizcarra, instigated a disapproval in the country with citizens calling on him to resign.
According to reports, Merino assumed power on Tuesday after legislators voting to impeach the famous president, Vizcarra and then swore in Merino who was head of the congress.
In a video message to the citizens of Peru, Morino said that “I president my irrevocable resignation, i call for peace and unity of all Peruvians”
Additionally, he said that he would from this moment now focus on ensuring a cool transaction to a new leader to to avoid a power vacuum.

Nigerian Police Arrests 35-Year-Old Man Who S.tabbed His Wife To Dea.th In Anambra State
The Nigerian Police Force, Anambra State Command has announced the arrest of a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death.
According to the Police Spokesman, Mr. Haruna Mohammed, who made this known to the public stated that the man identified as Kingsley Igwe and only 35 years old had ran amok for some complicated reasons and brutally stabbed his wife.
The neighbors had rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she was confirmed ‘Brought in Dead’ by the Doctor on duty. Kingsley’s wife died at the age of 31. The Police also informed the general public that investigations into the case was still ongoing.
