Sunday Dare, the Nigeria’s Minister of Youths and Sports, has pleaded with singer Naira Marley to call off the #EndSARSbrutality protest, he has planned to lead on today, Tuesday, October 6th 2020.
Naira Marley took to his Twitter account, to tweet yesterday evening that he would be spearheading a peaceful protest in Lagos at about 9pm today.
‘‘So 9am tomorrow we move 2nd toll gate Peaceful protest No vandalism, no fights and no stealing.”
In response to his tweet, the Minister begged the singer and others to call off the planned protest as their grievances regarding SARS and police brutality are presently being tackled.
According to the minister replied;
”I urge you and other youth not to embark upon any protest. Your grievances are being addressed at the highest level of government. As the Minister in charge of youth I know this is an issue that must be tackled. Government is doing just that.”
Naira Marley is yet to response to the appeal of the Minister.
#BlackFriday As Fire Engulfs Onitsha Plastic Market. Destroys Properties Worth Millions Of Naira (Photos)
It’s currently a Black Friday for the people of Onitsha and most especially the traders of Onitsha Plastic Market as fire engulfs more that 40% of the market.
According to BBC News Igbo, they reported that the fire outbreak was said to have started early today morning around 1:50am Nigerian time and it is believed that properties worth millions of Naira was also destroyed.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and the State Police Command has informed the general public that investigations into the matter is currently ongoing.
