A Nigerian man, Ogbonnaya Okire, possibly a staunch Manchester United fan, has caused stir on social media after he predicted that English Premiership side, Manchester United would win the UEFA Champions League Cup next year.
Recall that the UEFA Champions league came to a close last night as German champions, Bayern Munich emerged champions, defeating French side, Paris Saint Germain by a single goal.
The match which was a close one as both sides evenly matched each other, saw Bayern Munich French winger, Kingsley Coman scored the match winning goal in the second half to give the Bundesliga champions, a slender 1-0 victory over their French rivals, PSG and their sixth UCL title.
It also made them the first team in the history of the competition to win the trophy without losing or drawing a single match, as they won all of their matches leading to the title
Mr Ogbonnaya, in a post he shared on facebook, congratulated the newly crowned champions of European football and predicted that the next champions would be Manchester United.
Manchester United had to wait till the last day of the English premiership season to book their place at the next UCL tournament and same time, took the third spot in the English premiership league.
Manchester have won the elite competition on just two occasions; in the year 1999 and 2008 under their most successful manager, Sir Alex Ferguson(rtd) who happened to be the most successful EPL manager.
Ogbonnaya strongly believes Manchester United have all what it takes to become champions and as such should be able to lift the elusive title next year.

As usual, while fellow Manchester United fans wish that the dream comes true, others think otherwise. Below are some reactions.
