A 22-year-old lady with the name, Queen Benita on Facebook has been arrested and charged to court after she defrauded one Mr Chukwudi, 31, of his hard earned money of N8,500 Naira which was meant for Benita’s transport fare to Port-harcourt.

According to Mr Chukwudi, a Port-harcourt based businessman, Benita was apprehended through mobile phone tracking after she failed to pay him a visit at his apartment on the 10th of October, 2019, as agreed by both parties.

Queen Benita, however lured Mr Chukwudi to send the sum of N8,500 into her Access Bank Account as transport fare. Knowing fully well that she’s not going to pay Mr Chukwudi a visit, Benita shuts all forms of communication whereby blocking Mr Chukwudi from connecting her.

Ken Ukpai Esq, Mr Chukwudi’s lawyer said, the act was a calculated measure to defraud his client and in separate petitions to the force headquarters and the court, Barrister Ken further made a demand of N850,000 as a compensation for his client. He however noted that if his client as a well trained businessman invested the said money into his business since October 2019 up till now, he would have made more than the demanded amount.
